Day 1: Muscat – Nakhal – Wadi Bani Auf – Jabal Shams

• Morning (8:00 AM – 10:00 PM): Nakhal Fort, Nakhal Oasis, Al Thowara Spring Our journey begins at the Nakhal Oasis, a verdant jewel in the heart of the desert. We’ll visit the historic Al Thowara Spring, a centuries-old vital water source. Then, explore the imposing Nakhal Fort, a strategically built fortress offering panoramic views and a glimpse into Oman’s rich military history.  Discover its impressive collection of ancient weaponry, including cannons, guns, swords, and daggers.
• Afternoon (10:00 PM – 2:00 PM): Wadi Bani Awf 4×4 Adventure, Oman Snake CanyonPrepare for an exhilarating 4×4 drive through the dramatic Wadi Bani Awf. This challenging yet rewarding journey showcases the raw beauty of Oman’s rugged terrain. If weather and road conditions permit, we will explore the famous Snake Canyon, a narrow gorge with breathtaking rock formations.   
• Late Afternoon/Evening (3:00 PM – 5:00 PM): Jebel Shams (Mountain of the Sun), Misfat al Brein, Balad Sayt, Grand Canyon of Oman We’ll visit the captivating villages of Misfat al Brein and Balad Sayt, experiencing traditional Omani architecture and charming alleyways. These picturesque settlements offer a stunning insight into Omani village life, Oman’s highest peak, reaching an altitude of 3,009 meters. From the summit, witness the awe-inspiring panoramic views of the Grand Canyon of Oman, a truly breathtaking spectacle, and enjoy a well-deserved dinner at the luxurious Sama Heights Resort, taking in the magical sunset over the canyon before settling in for the night.

Day 2: Jebel Shams – Nizwa – Wahiba Sands Desert Adventure – Today, we journey from the majestic heights of Jebel Shams to the heart of Oman’s cultural and natural wonders. 

• Morning –  Nizwa Cattle Market, Nizwa Souq, Nizwa Fort, Ibra Town): Our adventure begins with a descent from Jebel Shams and a drive towards Nizwa.  If your tour falls on a Friday, we’ll have the unique opportunity to experience the vibrant Nizwa Cattle Market (6:30 AM – 9:00 AM), a bustling spectacle of livestock trading and Omani tradition,  Following the market (or if your tour is not on a Friday), we’ll explore the historic Nizwa Souq, a captivating maze of stalls overflowing with silver jewelry, pottery, frankincense, and traditional Omani handicrafts.  Immerse yourself in the sights, sounds, and smells of this authentic marketplace, Afterwards, we’ll visit the impressive 17th-century Nizwa Fort, a testament to Oman’s rich history and architectural prowess.  Explore its intricate structures and learn about its significant role in Oman’s past.  Finally, we’ll take a short trip to the charming old village of Ibra Town, offering a glimpse into traditional Omani life beyond the major cities.
• Afternoon/Evening –  Wahiba Sands, Wahiba Sands camping, dune bashing, desert sunset): Prepare for an unforgettable adventure as we embark on a thrilling 30km dune drive into the breathtaking Wahiba Sands desert.  Feel the adrenaline as your 4×4 navigates the rolling dunes, At our comfortable desert camp, you’ll be greeted by our friendly staff with traditional Omani coffee and tea. After a short rest, we’ll ascend the highest dunes to witness a truly spectacular sunset.  The ever-changing colors of the sand, the dramatic shadows, and the serene atmosphere will create an unforgettable experience. Capture stunning photographs as the sun dips below the horizon, painting the desert sky in vibrant hues, after returning to camp, enjoy a delicious dinner under the stars, savoring the tranquility of the desert night.

Day 3: Wahiba Sands to Ras Al Jinz: Coastal Wonders & Ancient History – Today’s adventure takes us from the vast expanse of the Wahiba Sands to the dramatic coastline, combining natural beauty with historical and cultural significance. Get ready for an unforgettable journey filled with diverse Omani experiences.

• Morning ( Wahiba Sands sunrise, dune bashing, Wadi Bani Khalid, Al Hamouda Mosque):We’ll begin with a breathtaking Wahiba Sands sunrise, capturing the magical play of light and shadow on the rolling dunes, after breakfast, we’ll embark on an optional dune-bashing excursion for an adrenaline-pumping experience, Afterward, we’ll journey to Wadi Bani Khalid, one of Oman’s largest and most stunning wadis.  This lush oasis, nestled deep within the mountains, offers crystal-clear turquoise pools perfect for a refreshing swim, We’ll continue to the Al Hamouda Mosque, also known as the Domes Mosque, in Jalan Bani Bu Ali.  This magnificent 500-year-old mosque, with its 52 domes, represents a significant piece of Islamic architecture in Oman.
• Afternoon/Evening (Coastal road Oman, fishing villages Oman, Ras Al Jinz, turtle watching Oman, green sea turtle nesting)We’ll drive along a picturesque coastal road, passing charming fishing villages where we can witness the daily lives of Omani fishermen and their traditional way of life, Enjoy a delicious Lunch at a local restaurant, savoring fresh seafood or traditional Omani cuisine after check-in Turtle beach resort plenty of time to relax after the dinner journey to Ras Al Jinz, one of the world’s most important green sea turtle nesting sites. Under the starlit sky, we’ll have the extraordinary opportunity to witness these majestic creatures come ashore to lay their eggs—a truly unforgettable and awe-inspiring experience.

Day 4: Coastal Gems & Dramatic Wadis: Sur, Wadi Tiwi, Wadi Shab, and Muscat – Today, we explore Oman’s captivating coastline and dramatic wadis before returning to Muscat. This day offers a blend of cultural immersion, natural beauty, and exciting exploration.

• Morning –  Sur, dhow building, Sur fishing, traditional Omani crafts): Our journey begins in Sur, a historic coastal town renowned for its shipbuilding tradition. We’ll visit the traditional dhow building yards, witnessing the skilled craftsmanship that has shaped Oman’s maritime history for centuries. Observe the intricate process of building these iconic vessels, and perhaps even purchase a handcrafted souvenir to remember your journey, Explore Sur’s bustling fish market, experiencing the vibrant atmosphere and the fresh catch of the day.
• Afternoon- ( Wadi Tiwi, Wadi Shab, hiking Oman, Wadi swimming, Oman wadis): Next, we venture into the heart of Oman’s stunning wadis. Wadi Tiwi, with its lush greenery and winding pathways, offers breathtaking views and a tranquil escape. Then, we’ll head to Wadi Shab, a breathtaking gorge with crystal-clear turquoise pools and lush vegetation. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can hike through the ravine, exploring its hidden waterfalls and refreshing swimming holes.
•  Note:  The Wadi Shab hike involves wading through water, so appropriate footwear is essential.
• Late Afternoon –Dibab sinkhole, Dibab Oman, sinkhole swimming, Oman natural wonders): Before returning to Muscat, we’ll make a stop at the magnificent Dibab sinkhole, a natural wonder near the coastal village of Dibab. This impressive sinkhole boasts strikingly clear green water and concrete steps lead down to the water’s edge, making it possible for a refreshing swim. • Evening: transferring back to your hotel in Muscat, marking the end of your unforgettable Omani adventure.
