Tour Details

  • Arrive to Salalah the Capital city of southern Oman’s Dhofar Governorate. It’s known for its banana plantations, Arabian Sea beaches and waters teeming with sea life. The Khareef, an annual monsoon, transforms the desert terrain into a lush, green landscape and creates seasonal waterfalls.
  • The Frankincense Land Museum, part of the Al Balid Archaeological Site, recounts the city’s maritime history and role in the spice trade.
  • Welcome and received by our Guide – and then transfer to your Hotel
  • Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, Sa-Th 8AM-11AM (for non-Muslims). Completed in 2009, this mosque can accommodate 14,000 people. Required women must have their ankles, wrists and hair covered – Men long trousers. 
  • Sultan Qaboos ALHusun  Palace,  Sultan Qaboos was born in a fortress at this location, which is now the grounds for a modern palace. It is not open to the public, but tourists may photograph it from the outside
  • old Haffah Souk, famous for the sale of high quality frankincense and many other souvenirs like colorful clay incense burners with traditional patterns. Here you get a lot of information on the use of frankincense and its special features
  • Museum of the frankincense land, which is located in the UNESCO World Heritage Site “Al Balid”. Al Baleed was an important trading port for frankincense and myrrh between the 7th and 14th centuries.
  • Drive through lush green plantations of vegetables & fruits. Make stop to taste a fresh coconut water drink at fruit stalls.
  • Footprint of Prophet Saleh’s Camel, A Daqah St. A shrine housing the footprint of an enormous camel in the bedrock. According to the Quran, the camel was said to have appeared from nearby mountains as a miracle, yet was killed three days later by unbelievers who refused to recognize the Prophet Saleh. In punishment a severe earthquake was said to have destroyed the entire city and its inhabitants. As in other religious sites, visitors are requested to remove their shoes and women should cover their hair.
  • Tomb of Nabi Umran,Umran (Imran) was a local Arab prophet, believed by some to have been the father of the Virgin Mary, and believed by others to have been the father of Moses. The sarcophagus is 33 m long. Visitors should remove their shoes before entering, and women should cover their heads with a scarf. Free, tips gratefully accepted
  • Job’s Tomb (An-Nabi Ayyub) (30km northwest of Salalah ,Believed by many to be the tomb of the biblical figure Job, on a hill-top overlooking Salalah. 
  • Break for lunch a small local restaurant nearby with wonderful views. 
  • Frankincense Tree that Grows on the Edges of the Mountains
  • Mughsail with its Lagoon and the 6 Km Long Beach.
  • Drive back to salalah town – drop you back to your Hotel 
  • Visit Fishing Town of Taqah with its watch towers and castle.
  • Wadi Darbat the most beoutifull wadi located in east salalalh between taqah and Mirbat 
  • Tawi Atayr sink hole one of the largest  Sink Holes in the world  (211 m deep & 150 m in diameter), also known as the Well of Birds, This is a magnificent site for bird watching among in South Oman .
  • Samhan mountain viewpoint – height of almost 1700m,This location is commonly known as the ‘Grand Canyon’ of Dhofar
  • A gravity hill, also known as a magnetic hill, mystery hill, mystery spot, gravity road, or anti-gravity hill
  • Mirbat Town -the old city of Arabian horses
  • Ruins of Sumhuram at Khowr Rawri (UNESCO World Heritage Site ) this was a site of the Queen of Sheba’s legendary palace.
  • Visit to the lost city of UBAR ( missing Bedouins city ) -Lost city’ of ubar, an ancient site where remains of the city were discovered in 1992 , by archaeologists using remote sensing equipment. ubar is believed to have been populated from 2800 bc too about 300 ad and to have been at one time an important trading center for frankincense before it was buried in the rising dunes. There is a small museum at the site displaying archaeological discoveries.
  • Drive through the spectacular al hasman (fasad) sand dunes , that are more than 200 meters in height, The spectacular dunes display their changing colors running together in great impenetrable ranks and towering with vast smooth slopes and wafer-thin like ridges.
  • Time to enjoy watching amazing sunset from the top of the dunes,  your guide will set up the camp for overnight and Prepare dinner. 
  • After Breakfast the Tour Continues to the West of Salalah Town, Through Alqamar Mountains (Moon Mountains).
  • You’ll Experience a Truly Unique Secret of Oman Rarely Experienced By Any Others—a Visit to the Barren Moon Mountains, Home to Fossils from when Land Used to Be Sea—Something Only One Could Otherwise See In A Museum.
  • With Many Stops For Photos, Overnight will Be Spent Camping By The Water in One of the Most Beautiful and Pristine Sandy Beaches in the Country (Fazayah Beach)
  • After Breakfast Prepared by your Guide, you Will Have Plenty of Time to Enjoy the White Sandy Beach Relaxing and Swimming. 
    At 11 Am we Will Start Driving Back to your Hotel or Place In Salalah with a Photo Stop in Almughsail Beach
  • Drop you to your hotel in Salalah at 4 PM
