Day 1: Salalah – Ubar – Empty Quarter Ubar archaeological site, Frankincense trade, Al Hasman dunes, desert camping Oman)
- Morning (10:00 AM): You will be picked up from your hotel in Salalah. Then, you will begin your journey towards the legendary lost city of Ubar.
- 12 pm – Explore the lost city of Ubar. Discover the archaeological remains of this ancient trading center, dating back to 2800 BC. Visit the small museum showcasing the artifacts unearthed at the site. Learn about its history as a significant hub for the frankincense trade.
- 4:00 PM- Drive through the awe-inspiring Al Hasman (Fasad) dunes. These towering dunes, exceeding 200 meters in height, offer a breathtaking spectacle of color and texture. Enjoy the vast, undulating landscape.
- Late Afternoon/Evening – Ascend the dunes to witness a spectacular sunset over the Empty Quarter. Your guide will set up camp, providing a traditional Omani dinner under the stars. Enjoy the tranquility of the desert night.
Day 2: Empty Quarter – Alqamar Mountain – Fazayah Beach
- Morning (7:00 AM): Wake up to the sunrise over the dunes. Enjoy breakfast prepared by your guide.
- Morning/Afternoon – Travel west towards Salalah, passing through the unique Alqamar Mountains (Moon Mountains). Explore this fascinating geological area, known for its fossilized remains from a time when the land was submerged. Discover the rare and stunning geological formations. Take numerous photo stops to capture the beauty of this unique landscape.
- Late Afternoon/Evening – Arrive at Fazayah Beach, one of Oman’s most beautiful and pristine sandy beaches. Set up camp by the water’s edge. Enjoy a relaxing evening and dinner by the sea.
Day 3: Alfazayeh Beach – Salalah
- Morning (7:00 AM): Enjoy breakfast on the beach. Spend time swimming, relaxing, and soaking in the beauty of Fazayah Beach.
- Late Morning (11:00 AM): Begin your journey back to Salalah.
- late Afternoon (4:00 PM): Arrive back at your hotel in Salalah.
- Stop at Al Mughsail Beach, famous for its blowholes. Witness the dramatic spectacle of water spouting from the rocks.
- Afternoon Continue to Salalah.
